Question : My 3 yr old has a swollen eyelid. What can I do?

                                    Brief Answer:
Allergy.
Detailed Answer:
My dear,
Thanks for sending your query to us.
There are few details needed for a more accurate diagnosis. Are the eyes stuck up in the morning when he wakes up or there is more of itching .
This separates infection and allergy. In case of absence or insignificant infection the likelihood of allergy is more, where anti allergy treatment is needed and if there is infection,we have to treat him for "pink eye'.
Do get back to me with relevant details so we can offer helpful advice.

Should be seen by a doctor.
Detailed Answer:
My dear,
Thanks for getting back to me.
Since the swelling is only on one side, chances are that this may be a localized infection. He should be seen by a doctor to start appropriate antibiotics.
