Question : My 31 year old son is visiting for out-of-state. He woke up with diareaha and now complains that his stomach feels like it is upside down.

What treatment would you recommend?

Hi Hbtmdw,

It sounds like a viral gastroenteritis. If he does not have a fever or blood in his stools, I suggest he drinks plenty of fluid and take aspirin and Imodium. If it gets worse, he should go to the ER.
