Question : My 5 year old daughter has had a mole on her head since birth, it was brown and only a little raised to the touch last night I was giving her a bath and now it is scabbed over and looks pretty bad.. I have a dermatologist appointment scheduled for next week. But, really wanted to try and get anexpert opinion now.

It seems as if it got traumatized during combing. I'd suggest you use an OTC topical antibiotic e.g either Neosporin ointment or Mupirocin ointment, twice daily for a few days.
