Question : My 60 yr old wife has one eye brow right side that the hair has gone from over half of it, the skin has little red bumps and is very itchy. The same type of growth on her left leg near the calf area. Both spots look like ingrown hairs, very itchy. Biopsy show nothing. Dermatologist can't find an answer, allergist says it's not allergies. We've been to every doctor we can think of. Psychiatrist said maybe stress related, put her on Vyvance daily, no help. Physically she is in great shape, walks on the beach every day not raining 5 miles. Only physical change is she had implants done about 5 yrs ago. It is driving her mad.

she was told that it is not eczema, it is something below the surface os the skin that works its way out of her skin, it doesn't start on the surface.

It certainly isn't factitious dermatitis, that is patient generated and she hates these areas on her body, she hates being pitied when someone sees her ailment. I guess without seeing the problem it would be hard to determine the cause are prescribe treatment. The areas appear as bumps of ingrown hairs that need to be pulled out to provide relief.Itching, burning sensation to the skin.
