Question : My 8 years daughter is having fever for the last two days. Dry coughing starts when the fever stats rising. Today morning the fever was more than 102 degree and was not coming down with crocin. Please advice the treatment.

Based on the information provided by you I feel your daughter is having viral fever. As it is not reduced even with paracetamol, I after examination would have prescribed her a suspension containing Mefenamic acid. And would have advised for tepid sponging. For cough i would have advised steam inhalation and salt water gargling 3 to 4 times a day. And for cough Asthelin syrup.
