My CEA Marker Has Doubled To 7.85 From Since Aprile

Question : My CEA Marker has doubled to 7.85 from since Aprile where it was 3.85. A doctor just gave me Amoxicillin, and this is not the first time I am weating profusely with thisissues what is going on?

Dear Ma’am, I have gone through your question and I understand your concerns. One of the reasons of increased level of CEA marker is an ongoing infection. That is why your doctor has prescribed amoxicillin. However, if you don’t tolerate amoxicillin well then I would recommend that you refer to your doctor for a prescription of another substitute. Is there a way I can find out where the infection is because, I had stomach pains, my left hip area seems to have pain. And just a few days ago in my inner knee area seem to have a vein that popped or something leaving my skin black and blue.
I am getting ready to get to the states next week to visit my doctor. Any suggestions?

Dear Ma’am, hello again. infection is one of the causes and not the only cause of increased CEA marker, however it is the most common one. If you have stomach pain then I would recommend that you get a stool analysis to exclude gastroenteritis. other causes of increased CEA marker include liver disease, smoking and tumor formation.
