Detailed Answer:
Hello, welcome to ask a doctor services. I have read your question.

I can understand your concern. You have not mentioned anything regarding your past illness or height. Never mind.

You are suggested to take 5-6 small meals during the day with lots of nutrients and add calories to your diet. Take cheese, butternut, whole grains, full fat dairy products, tapenade, pesto, and hummus.

Take high protein diet like potatoes, dry fruits, oily fish, salmon, shakes, protein supplements, dairy products, meat, etc. Avoid taking fast food.

Increase the amount of carbohydrate intake like rice, wheat, barley, oats, etc. Balance your daily intakes with fresh fruits, berries and veggies.

Avoid taking beverage with low calories or nutrients. Stay away from addictions like alcohol, smoking, drugs, etc.

Do regular exercise under the observation of Physical trainer. Do exercises to increase your muscle mass. Concentrate on gaining weight slowly and constantly. Don't give up.

Get clinically examined by a GP, to rule out any chronic disease that may be causing hindrance to your gaining weight, get treated so that you gain weight successfully.

Stay away from anxiety and stress (physical & emotional), just stay relaxed. Take quality sleep at night, at least 8 hrs.

Hope I have answered your question. Take care.

Hello, welcome to ask a doctor services. I have read your question.

it is best to add fresh protein to your regular diet. You can take organic plant based protein powder or Pea protein powder. Elite 100% whey also works well for men.

While choosing protein powder, you should keep in mind the nutritional value, ingredient quality, customers review.

Fresh protein is always better than protein powders as protein powders when taken for a longer duration have side effects.

Hope I have answered your question. Take care.
