                                    Brief Answer:
Yeast infection is likely- further explanations below
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service,
I carefully read your query and understand your concern.
Itchiness after a long course of antibiotics may be related to a yeast infection. I would recommend you to apply a Miconazole cream or Clotrimazole cream twice a day on the area that is itchy (even an inch beyond it as yeast infection lays further than the irritated area). This local treatment can be used for 1-2 weeks and can be combined with clotrimazole ovules 200 mg intravaginally, once a day for 3 days.
Another possible treatment is with oral Fluconazole 150mg single dose (prescription is needed for this). In some more severe cases, the treatment may be taken for three days (one tablet a day for three days)
Normally, you should start to feel better within 3-4 days. If no improvement with this treatment in a few days or you notice any worsening you will need to be seen by your doctor.
I hope this answers your query.
I remain at your disposal in case any further medical assistance is needed.
