Brief Answer:
About high fasting blood sugar;

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for!
I have gone carefully through your concern.
High fasting blood sugar is a common finding in diabetic patients and there are many hormonal mechanisms responsible for it.
Your physician should reinforce the therapy ( add metformine after dinner if you are not taking it and do not have contraindications) or increase the dose of the lantus.
Sometimes a fast acting insulin is recommended at 3 o' clock.
You should discuss with your physician about the above mentioned alternatives.
Hope the information will help.
Best wishes,
Dr.mirjeta
