Brief Answer:
About high blood sugar:

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking!
I can understand your concern.

If this value is occasional and not constant, then you should try to find the cause, did you get too many calories today or do you have fever or signs of infection?

If you had a big meal before you checked the blood sugar, try to get plenty of water and check it after 2 hours. If still over 300 mg/dl you may go to ER for insulin injection.

If the blood sugar persists high and that is confirmed with Hba1c (i.e. the mean glucose level of the last three months) than the treatment should be modified as recommended by your physician.

Hope the information will help.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Best wishes,
Dr.Mirjeta
