Question: My brother N XXXXXXX XXXXXXX Age 24 is having pimples(Dark Spots) on the back from long time( 5 Years). He is using Ointmeent Retino-A 0.025mg from past 3 months after consulting Dermatologist, we can some improvement like dark spots fading off but new one are coming again as attached.

Can you please tell how to proceed?

Ora antibiotics and topical antiaacne cream/ gel

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

You seem to have quite a severe form of acne. I would suggest you to take an oral antiacne antbiotic e.g either Doxycycline 100mg twice daily or Minocycline 100mg once a day, for a few weeks (8-12 weeks). In addition to that I suggest you to use benzoyl peroxide 5% gel, twice daily. These are prescription antibiotics and topical products.

we are not able to find doxycycline tab, along with lactobacilius is present in tab, can we consume it?

This cream is tretinoin 0.025% . it is not for dark spots. It is rather used for acne. But for the kind of acne he has I won't suggest this cream. He may use the remedy i suggested earlier. Acne is not directly linked to a particular diet but high calorie diets like sugary drinks, sweets, chocolates and other such things can cause a flare up
