Question : My business partner is a 55 yr old Chinese female 5' 100lb who has had a severe flu like disease for 2 full weeks now with temp 102-103, headache, lots of sweating, no appetite, no congestion, no stomach or digestive symptoms, no energy or strength. Temp is lower in AM but then rises in late PM and stays high all night. Just started amoxicillin but only tylenol before that. Her MD has done lots of blood, urine tests - all neg. X ray today. She can't seem to shake it and get well and is worn out.

One more detail. With the fever she is hot all over her body from head to toe

Dear Ma’am, I have gone through your question and I understand your concerns but this could be due to a number of causes.. I would recommend that you get a blood test for thyroid hormonal profile including T3,T4 and TSH to exclude thyroiditis.. you should also get tuberculin test to exclude Tuberculosis.. if these tests came back negative then you should get an ultrasound abdomen and pelvis to exclude colonitis or ovarian cysts.
