Question: My child has high fever and cough which medicine to give. Its boy and age 3 year he has not from last 2 days

It seems to be a viral and it will resolve by itself in few days. Meanwhile keep checking for any breathing difficulty/gasping for air, in which case consultation with pediatrician is needed. I usually prescribe the following to child of this age:
- Syrup Crocin 120mg/5ml suspension 5 ml 3-4 times a day for fever (when fever is more than 101f)
- Syrup Cetirizine 2 drops once a day for 3 days
Review again after 3 days
