Brief Answer:
Need to see the doctor urgently

Detailed Answer:
Hello, I'm Dr. Branch, thanks for using Ask a Doctor. If this pain is something new since the stents were placed, and especially if you notice the foot and toes are cold or pale, you should bring him to the hospital urgently, as this may be a sign that the stents have become blocked or failed in some way, and your dad is not getting enough blood to the toes and foot. This would need to be taken care of quickly to avoid the tissue from dying because of a lack of oxygen. I do not believe this could be related to his diet.

I hope that helps and answer your question, please let me know if you have any other questions or anything else I can help with.
