Question : My doctor has diagnosed me with vestibular migraines. The thing is 90% of the time I only experience them on Saturday or Sunday morning. I always wake up with them. Rarely do I get them during the week. Why?

The cause of migraines and why these happen at certain moments is not fully understood.One of the mechanisms that may cause migraine symptoms including vertigo is thought to be widening of brain arteries caused by abnormal electrical messages.In cases of a vestibular migraine (or migraine-associated vertigo) arteries of the vestibular system are thought to be involved.On weekends, it is probable that you are more relaxed and your arteries may be more widened, so, the threshold for triggering a vestibular migraine is probably lower.
