My Doctor Prescribed Oxybutynin CL ER 5 MG For An

Question: My doctor prescribed oxybutynin CL ER 5 MG for an overactive bladder. I have experienced constipation and had to go to the emergency room with severe pain in my chest area and was put in the hospital with very high 2,000 pancreatitis. They were able to bring the rate down to normal but I may need to have my gall bladder removed. Could this medication cause both of these problems?
Brief Answer:
No, it doesn't seem to have caused these
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for being on 'Ask A Doctor' service.
I have gone through your query and I appreciate your concerns,
It's an anticholinergic and therefore prescribed for your bladder problem.
I am sorry but it's just a bad coincidence that you got a pancreatic as well as gallbladder attack when on this medicine otherwise it has no such side effects.
Hope I was helpful,
Follow-ups are most welcome.
Thanks.
