Question: My doctor says I had a small high caliber urethral stricture. What does this mean?

Based on the facts that you have posted you have undergone Optical Internal Urethrotomy for a short high caliber stricture of the urethra ,

Small high caliber stricture of the urethra indicates narrowing of short segment of urethra which can be easily negotiated and dilated by the endoscopic procedure called Optical Internal Urethrotomy .

This is usually caused by infection of the urethra which in its tern can be caused by sexual intercourse with a female having vaginal infection or STD .
