Question: Hi sir my father has small cortical simple cyst in
Lower pole of left kidney.measure 12x12 mm.
And mildly lobulated contoyur of left kidney measure 90.4x45.4.
Is it serious problem and can it be treated by medicine

1. Does he have pain in abdomen/ pain at back region or fever?
2. Have you done kidney function test?
If he doesn’t have any symptoms and kidney function test are normal then treatment is not required.
Usually small kidney cyst may dissolve itself. If he doesn’t have any symptom, then I would suggest to repeat ultrasound after three months.
If he has symptoms, Then he may require surgery i. e. cyst removal after consultation with nephro surgeon.
Till then, in .case of then he can take tablet Cyclopam. Keep yourself hydrated.
