Question : hi Doc, my father having constipation. his age 82. he also have diabetes , htn . currently taking cremafin , Bevon, ecosprin , amyron insulin 10 units.

he is having constipation since one week . no relief from cremafin. no blood in stools. no test done .

By constipation do you mean no bowel movements at all or he is straining/passing hard stools and there is incomplete evacuation? Is he passing flatus?
Abdominal pain? Abdominal distension?

Hi doc, he passing very less amount of stools, yes passing hard stools and incomplete , yes passing flatus . no abdominal pain.

Thanks for the additional information.
The following may be done -
1. High fiber diet. Include lot of vegetables and prune juice
2. Drink lot of fluids
3. Cremadiet Duo 0-0-2 scoops in 250 ml of water
4. T.Pruvict 1 mg once daily for 4 weeks
5. Increase the physical activity
6. Keep blood glucose under control

Get the following tests done -
1. Complete blood count
2. Stool occult blood test - three specimen on three different days.
