Question: My fiance has asthma. He%E2%80%99s 24.
He aspirated a small piece of cereal 36 hours ago. Since then he%E2%80%99s coughed often, he has felt wheezy (it comes and goes), his voice got hoarse at some points, he felt like he had a lot of mucus in his chest at some points, his chest hurts(or he feels a discomfort) sometimes, specially when he coughs, he feels really tired and his throat hurts sometimes.
He doesnt have any medical conditions other than Asthma.
All these symptoms come and go.
What could happen? What is probably happening? What should he do? We%E2%80%99re trying to avoid going to the hospital because of Covid-19 and he lives in England.

Brief Answer:
It will go itself

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor's service.
I read your query and here is my advice.
He aspired food on tracea and lungs that's why he is having the cough. Lungs can clear by themselves so there is nothing you can do at home just wait that he gets better.
He should continue asthma medications or possibly adjust dose in order to feel better.
If you suspect it is infected he needs antibiotics.

Hope I have answered the question.

Brief Answer:
It can go without causing anything.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and thank you for asking again. Most likely it will go without causing anything at all .
The worst possibility is that it can cause pneumonia . If he develops other symptoms such fever, sputum, chest pain he may need antibiotics.

Brief Answer:
Not related to chocking

Detailed Answer:
I don't think the chest pain is related to it.
It is to early to develop symptoms related to it now.
Don't do anything because it will go on its own.
