Question : My friend had brain surgery three weeks ago to repair three aneurysms. She has a lump in the temple area. It come up the first time about ten days ago but the swelling went down. Then several days later the lump reappeared and has not decreased in size. She is due to see the surgeon next week for her post operative check up. I’m concerned that she may need to see the doctor sooner. Is this a common occurrence following brain surgery? Could it be another aneurysm? I’m very worried and feel she should contact her doctor immediately. Is this a dangerous occurrence?
