Brief Answer:
GLANDULAR FEVER

Detailed Answer:
Hi....
Welcome to"Ask a Doctor"service.
I am Dr Ajeet XXXXXXX
I have gone through your query and here is my opinion.

Infectious Mononucleosis or glandular fever (also called kissing disease) is a viral disease caused by Epstein-Barr virus.
It spreads by saliva.
It requires a medical diagnosis and diagnosis is made by a blood test.

As there is always a systemic absorption through eyes and nasal mucosa,a cross infection spreading to you can not be ruled out.

But,fortunately,it should not be a major concern for you.
It usually regresses by itself.

For next few days, take rest, keep yourself well hydrated, have soft diet and take over-the-counter pain and fever-reducing medicines to relieve the symptoms.

Hope that I have answered your query.
Regards.
