Question : My girlfriend is a week late in her period cycle but we have had sex 4-5 times this month when other months is mostly only once or not at all i always check the condom to make sure they are not defective. Could this increase in sexual activity cause a hormonal imbalance causing her to have an irregular period?

I read your query and here is my advice.

Increase in sexual activity is not known to give irregular periods. Using condoms is one of the safest but still not 100% sure protection method.
Since she is a week late (at least 5days of delayed period are needed) she can do a pregnancy home test to check for pregnancy. Then if it is negative then the cause can be a hormone imbalance
