Question : My grandmother (92) is in heart failure, and recently went for many tests. They originally thought she had pneumonia, but rejected that based on a low white blood cell count. I believe they made a mistake and should prescribe an antibiotic, but I don't want to have to take her back into a clinic from home to get a second opinion. Can I get a prescription for her remotely somehow?

Brief Answer:
Antibiotics cannot be prescribed remotely!!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this. Unfortunately, antibiotics cannot be prescribed online per the prevailing regulations. I will suggest you call the doctors' office and discuss these concerns.

On another note, how is your grandmother? Is she having any breathing difficulties? A cough? Fever? chest pain? These could further inform on possible infections.

I hope this guides and helps. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me as need be.
