Brief Answer:
Consult a neurologist and get evaluated
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
Most of the cases RLS ( restless leg syndrome) is idiopathic and does not have any underlying cause.
The frequency and severity of the disease can be well managed by physiotherapy and exercise. Iron deficiency may worsen the symptoms and thus food rich in iron like green leafy vegetables can provide symptomatic relief.
He can take drugs like gabapentin for pain which is very effective for neuropathic pain as in this case.
In severe cases drugs like ropinirole may be needed.
Consult a neurologist and he will direct you accordingly.
Wishing all the best.
Thanks
