Brief Answer:
You can give him citicoline.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to "Ask a Doctor " service.
I have read your query and here is my advice.
You can give your husband citicoline as a supplement in order to improve the cognitive functions.
However, it is necessary to find the cause of loosing weight and cognitive decline.
Since there is a history of cancer in the past, brain imaging and blood tests are necessary to evaluate correctly if there is recurrence of the blood cancer and if the brain is affected.
If no recurrence then dementia should be considered as well.
Discuss with your husband's Doctor for these issues.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
