Question: My husband's blood test results show high levels of High neutrophils, WBS and immature grans. His blood test two years ago also showed elevated levels in WBC and neutrophils. This time the values are higher and the addition of the high immature Grans was also present. What could this mean? It's not a one time thing since it was present 2 years ago and the values have increased.

Brief Answer:
It can be a bacterial infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear welcome to Ask a doctor's service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

I see the test results of complete blood count you uploaded and white blood cells are elevated, neutrophils are elevated and immature grans also.
This can be related to an infection and most probably a bacterial infection.
Possibly 2 years ago he also had an infection.
You also can add more details like if he has fever, elevated body temperature, any pain or other symptoms.

Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Brief Answer:
Some more details about symptoms please.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and thank you for asking again.
First of all I need to know where the infection is and what type of infection.
Tell me if he has pain, redness, swelling or other types of symptoms somewhere.
He may need to take antibiotics but other treatments also depending on the site of infection .
Let me know if I can assist you further.

As far as I can tell he doesn't have infection or inflammation anywhere that would point to an in infection. Unless it's internal. He has usual aches and pains that any older person would get after a long day off work. But he doesn't nit complain of anything significant.

Brief Answer:
See details below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear and thank you for asking again.
I think he may need to do a CRP blood test to check the level of inflammation and an ultrasound to check the internal organs.
If everything is normal and no cause of inflammation is found then he may need to visit a haematologist.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
