My Left Foot Keeps Going Numb And Or Tingles If

Question: My left foot keeps going numb and or tingles if I am sitting or standing. There has been no injury but i notice it does not do this if I keep it elevated. Just wondering possible causes and if i should see a doctor or specialist?

Well, since this is happening without any evident injury, there can be a few possibilities (nerve compression, vascular insufficiency of the lower leg or even due to electrolyte/nutritional imbalances)...

At this outset, I'd recommend getting a neurological check-up along with a few sets of investigations to look into it further (Hemogram, liver function test, U&E, FBS, HbA1C, PPBS, serum vitamin D3 and B12 level). If there are any vascular concerns suspected after the check-up then a doppler scan of the veno-arterial system may also be performed. Management can be done based on the findings.
