Hi,
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your query
In my opinion, Your problem needs further investigations.
Bilateral cysts of parotid glands may have multiple reasons, mostly being benign, but malignancy can not be ruled out. Some of the common etiology may be--warthin tumor, benign lympho-epithelial lesions, hydatid cysts, polycystic disease of parotid glands, branchial cleft cyst or parotid cystic teratoma etc. etc. Absence of blood flow in left parotid duct on MRI as well as accompanied by large cystic left parotid area, may be due to blockage of left parotid duct & calculus may be a common presence, which may cause this.
Hence, CT scan of the area, FNAC are further requirements as well as Biopsy of the susceptible area may be also needed to reach at a definitive diagnosis & treatment accordingly.
