My Little Brother And I Were Play Wrestling And He

Question: My little brother and I were play wrestling and he accidentally kicked me in the right side of the head. I was completely conscious and didn’t feel dazed or anything but it hurt pretty bad. It’s been 2 days and I’ve noticed I have weird what feels like twitching headaches in that side of my head. Sometimes slight shooting pain in that side of the head, and it feels kinda like it’s “swollen” but there’s nothing obviously visible from the outside (maybe a slight bump). Is there cause for concern, and should I take Advil?

Brief Answer:
Head injury of any sort should be examined by a Doctor and investigated SOS

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood the concerns.
Please give additional information for me to assist you better:
Your age and gender.
Any symptoms of nausea, vomiting or anything else? (noted your symptoms that you have mentioned).

The twitching type headache, slight shooting pain on the same side, feeling like swollen but not obviously visible are most probably indicative of local trauma to the scalp and underlying tissues like muscles.
You can certainly take Advil as per your weight and if it suits you. Also take a PPI like Omeprazole or Pantoprazole.

It is always best to be examined by a Doctor for general physical checkup like pulse and blood pressure, local examination, examination of pupils for size and reaction to light as these may indicate if there is any internal injury and go for CT scan or MRI of the brain if indicated by your Doctor. Watch for nausea, vomiting, altered sensorium, giddiness or any changes from normal.

I hope this answer helps you.
Please give feedback.
