Question: My mother aged 64yrs had viral fever few days back. After that she has lost appetite...not at all feeling hungry. Doctor suggested Liver function test. Report is normal. Doctor prescribed Aristozyme syrup, Pan D tablet. Will this improve her appetite..pls suggest.

The aristozyme syrup is fiber supplement and other medicine is antacid.
So they will improve digestion and gastric emptying.
Hence it has having role in improving appetite.

In the viral fever sometime appetite might be remain suppressed for few days due to different cytokines release.

So you can give her prescribed drugs and wait for few more days to improve appetite. Don't worry.
