Botox injections may need to be repeated.
Detailed Answer:
Many patients do require repeat injections, however, some may not need. If repeat injection is needed, it can be repeated after 3-6 months. Botox injection is safe and can be safely given in very lean patients.

There are no serious consequences.
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back.
Hemifacial spasm is more of a social embarrassment, as it does not look good when there is blinking of eyes or twitching of face. Some people do have pain or discomfort. If it is frequent, there may be vision issues.
However, patient can get rid of all problems by botox injection.
Best wishes,
Dr Sudhir Kumar MD DM
