Brief Answer:
Please provide some more information and upload the photo

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Thank you for using "Ask a doctor" service.

Your picture didn't came through. Please upload it again.

Also I would say that if you cannot bare weight on your leg, then you should definitely go get checked. The knee replacement doesn't make you more prone if having a fracture from a fall, but your age and the symptoms you have do. Please provide some more information so I can advice you better.
- When did you had the knee replacement?
- How did you fell?
- Does it hurt only on the knee or elsewhere?
- Can you bare weight?

The more information you give me, more accurate I will be into helping. Of course whatever you think can be relevant to the issue.

Looking forward to your follow up question.

Kind regards, Dr. Klarida Papaqako, General and Family physician.

I had my total knee revision in XXXXXXX 2016. my knee and whole leg hurts. It hurts all the way into my ankle. I will upload my photos again. I tripped on some decorations that were left out at a neighbors house I thought I lifted my leg high enough not to step on it but I got caught lost my balance and bounced off my knee hit the back of my head and landed on my butt.

Brief Answer:
If you cannot bear any weight, better go to the ER to get an x-ray.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

I cannot see yet a photo.

Anyway, to not lose more time I would suggest that if you cannot bear any weight on your leg, you better go to the ER to get at least an x-ray and make sure you have no fracture.

I do not think that the fact that you had a knee replacement can make any difference. You have now had the prosthesis for long enough to treat it as your knee.

Meanwhile, I suggest that you keep your leg above the level of the heart, wear compression socks to the point of swelling, apply 3 times per day ice for 20 min but not directly on the skin, and take Ibuprofen 400 mg every 6 hours if you do not have any contraindications to take them.

Hope this is helpful. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Kind regards,
Dr. Papaqako

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Sorry but the photos are still not there.

Check it one more time. Our system should guide you how to do that. Maybe you can also resize them into making them smaller and then maybe will be easier for the system to accept.

Looking forward,

Kind regards,
