Question: Hi Sir,
My problem is dizziness.
Feeling like loosing balance(a little). Spinning head.
Actually it started a year back then i thought it was becz of high bP and surprisingly bP was high that time(around 150/90). then doctor asked me to start telma20.
After few days veritgo gone. Again this year in march it started(little dizzy) then i checked bp it was normal.
Also usg scan, creatinine reports, sugar test, thyroid tests were normal.
After that it was worse in XXXXXXX started vomiting then doctor said vomitings due to food poisoning.
Taken medicine but dizzzy not gone. then i visited ENT specialist, she did some positinal test and she said it could be becz of vestibular neuritis. Becz vertigo was more when i lie down on my right and it was normal on left. Taken vertin 16mg for 5 day and everything was normal. BP normal all these days. Again in july started feeling dizzy and unbalanced. then doctor asked me to take verting for 15 days and come back. Now it is almost 13 days. I skipped it for one day i.e day before yesterday. today i started feeling dizzy again(a little bit) again it is normal if i lie down on my left. Doctor also suggested for brain MRI.
what could be the reason? do i need to get brain MRI? a stroke or tumor could be the reason for this vertigo? i work in front of laptop mostly. and feel stressed some times.
Please suggest me.

Brief Answer:
Take medication as advised, visit to a neurologist

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concern.
The vertigo is positional and seems to be benign paroxysmal positional vertigo.
Treatment may be changed and dizitac twice daily can be taken.
Vertigo exercises can be done too.
Visit to a Neurologist for examination and positional repositioning of otolith by manuever.
Brain MRI is to rule out any structural lesion like mass or tumor. The possibility of such a lesion is very low but not zero.
Don't stop medications at a go.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

Hi Sir,
today i went to see a neurologist.
He asked me to go for brain ct scan. he saw ct scan results and said nothing serious everything is fine.
He said it is bppv and asked me to stop vertin and take spinfree whenever i feel dizzy.
also suggested nervo injection weekly once for two weeks. Suggested baga, feliz tablets once every night. after taking spinfree it is fine but still its not gone completely.
Normally my bp always belo 130/85 but in the hospital today it was 156/96. now at home in the evening it is 120/81. just wanted to clear that its not due to high bp by any chance.
there is no permanent cure for this? are there any side effects if i use tablets like this?can i use two spinfree tablets in a day?

Brief Answer:
Continue treatment as advised by the Neurologist

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
The vertigo symptoms are not due to blood pressure.
Difference in blood pressure readings may occur due to exertion in hospital along with stress.
Spinfree is the same drug as dizitac.
You should continue all medications advised by the Neurologist.
Visit him after 2 weeks.
Some exercises may also help in vertigo like Brandt daroff exercise. You can learn online or ask any physiotherapist.
Get well soon.

Hi sir,
Is ct scan enough to rule out any brain issues?
Or MRI is required? Can I continue spin free for 2 weeks?
Is there any surgery for a permanent cure of bppv?

Continue same treatment

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Normal CT scan is enough at this stage based on clinical diagnosis of BPPV.
Continue spin-free for 2 weeks.
No surgical options available in this case.
