Question : My right eye has been red for a month and now my left eye is starting to get red. There has been no itching or burning or watery eyes. When I try allergy eye drops that have antihistamine (visine allergy eye drops), my eye looks better for a little while then goes back.

I dont know if this has anything to do with it but I hurt my elbow about 6 months ago. Sometimes I wake up and it hurts or is stiff. I have slight pain with lifting things but nothing major

                                    Brief Answer:
Allergic cogniuctivitis.
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.
I think you are suffering from allergic cogniuctivitis even though it isn't itching or watery.
You can attach a photo for me to see the eye condition. You can use antihistamines such benadryl or citerizine orally and ketotifen drops for redness.
This is not related to your elbow injury.
You can think of any substance you may be using recently or having recently in your home or work.
You also can do allergic tests.
Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

I do have two cats that are kept in my room because my roommates dont like cats. Also I cant see a spot where i can upload a picture of my eyes. I have had these cats for years. I have also been on vacation for the past week and have spent most my time in my room. I have not been outside in about a week.

I think I found how to upload. I sent the pictures where it said upload news reports

                                    Brief Answer:
Possible allergic cogniuctivitis.
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking again.
I see the photos you attached.
I think it is related to an allergic reaction. I don't think this is related to cats that you are keeping. I think this is probably related to dust, mold or other irritating particles found in your home.
I think you can continue to use allergy drops like ketotifen drops.
