Question : My skin was itchy for a few minutes last night, but there wasno bite where my skin was itchy. There was a little bump on my arm but not where my skin was itchy. I thought it was anpimple, but this morninig it was gone. I am hoping it was not a mosquitoe bite because eee has been found in the area. As I said the bump itself was not itchy, and I thought it was a pimple, but this morning it iis gone. I have read that mosquitoe bites last and itch for a few days. Is this true? Should I be concerned? I was not outside I was in my house. I did see something in the house the other night but not sure if it was a mosquitoe. I only saw it once, but it flew away before I could get it. Have not seen it since.

I read your query and here is my advice.

I think the itching and bump you experienced last night is an insect bite and probably a mosquito bite. I don't think this is something to worry about.
Mosquito bites are itchy for some days but if the bite is superficial or from a small mosquito it can be itching only for a day and get healed.

You just made me nervous. Is%E2%80%99nt a mosquitoe bite white, round and puffy. That%E2%80%99s the way I remember them to be. It was not itchy where the bump was, but down below it. I am very nervous right now because as I said there is eee in the area where I live. I wish I I had not asked the question. It did not look like a mosquitoe bite.

OK, to clarify it a mosquito bite is red, elevated from skin level and itchy over the red mark. It doesn't resample to a bump and is not white and it may take some days to get healed.
So as a conclusion it can be an insect bite but not much like a mosquito bite.

They are round and red.

Detailed Answer:
It doesn't look much like a welt. It is round and elevated. It is red in colour mostly around the bite and the middle part is elevated and lighter red. A pimple usually has a white spot in middle while mosquito bites usually don't have a white spot (pus) in middle.
