My Son ( 3 Years Old ) Had Cold And

Question: My son ( 3 years old ) had cold and running node followed by cough and fever ( around 100) on Dec 29th .
He took montair LC kid and Allegra for 5 days and improved but on Feb 5th night had continuous cough .
Next morning in the hospital he was put on nebuliser for 15 mins , we also observed a fever of 100.7 , antibiotics(augmentin) was prescribed, fever subsided in a day and he was better. On Feb 14th evening we noticed cough again and fever of 99.4 . We have given Crocin in the night and again this morning at 99.6.
He is also going to a play school, so cries in the morning when we go to drop him. Also my wife is having sore throat and cough and am not sure if that’s affecting the kid . Earlier by father in law was also have severe sore throat .
Kindly advise .

Brief Answer:
Looks like a viral illness.
Detailed Answer:
Hello... thank you for consulting here.
This looks like a viral illness and in a recovering phase, cough is very common.
I will explain how a viral illness behaves so that you can be more confident.
Fever of few days without any localizing signs could as well a viral illness. Usually rather than fever, what is more important is the activity of the child, in between 2 fever episodes on the same day. If the kid is active and playing around when there is no fever, it is probably viral illness and it doesn't require antibiotics at all. Once viral fever comes it will there for 4-7 days. So do not worry about duration if the kid is active.
