My Son 7 Years Old Has Fecal Impaction How To Overcome
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: My son (7 years old) has had a bit of a history with fecal impaction and then leaking. The doctor has prescribed movical on this occasion. Since taking it for four days (1 XXXXXXX a day) today he has had Diahorea and it has been really black. He has a very sore anus and I have put sudocrem on it.
He has repeatedly said he is scared to go to the toilet. I have allowed him to plays games on my phone while on the wc. Sometimes I will get his toys and do a bit of a funny pantomime with them. It all seems to work.
He doesn’t like to poo at school and I have addressed some issues with the school. I am just concerned, that there maybe something more sinister. The doctor did feel around his tummy and abdomen and there was some pain on presssing.
I am just a concerned Mum and would gratefully appreciate any advise.
Thank you

Brief Answer:
Just skip movicol for a day or two
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us.Based on your description it seems like your son has constipation.
I would like to advice
1. Skip movicol for a day or two if diarrhoea is troublesome. Maybe give it once in 2 or 3 days
2. Give plenty of fruits and vegetables and water.
3. Continue ointment you are applying.
4. Keep following up with your doctor , mostly it should not be anything sinister.
Wishing him speedy recovery
