Your son needs detailed evaluation at a specialised epilepsy center.
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for posting your query.
I am Dr Sudhir Kumar, Neurologist, and I would try my best to help you.
I have noted your son's clinical details. Based on this, I agree with you that it is a case of medically refractory epilepsy.
Giving more than three drugs do not help in further increasing the seizure control rate. Now, he is already on four anti-epileptic drugs and we do not expect a better seizure control by adding more drugs.
So, he should be evaluated in a specialised epilepsy center such as Sree XXXXXXX Institute in XXXXXXX or XXXXXXX New XXXXXXX or NIMHANS, Bengaluru. After which, a decision regarding epilepsy surgery may be taken.
I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.
Wishing you good health,

Thank you for getting back.
Dr XXXXXXX XXXXXXX is good in epilepsy area. Please discuss about the possibility of epilepsy surgery, as medicines have failed to prevent seizure recurrence in your son.
