Question : My son has taken 2 doses of bactrim for a spider bite. Now further examination it looks like a scrape. Should I discontinue the antibiotic if theres nothing wrong with him?

Hi,

There is no need for oral antibiotics in such conditions. I suggest you stop the Bactrim antibiotic. Apply some calamine lotion it has both antibacterial and soothing properties.
