Question : My son's big toe was bruised under his toenail. Discoloration has gone away and now toe is extremely painful and throbbing. Other big toe also has bruising under nail but not hurting currently.

I have gone through your query.
I would recommend you to take a course of oral antibiotic and anti inflammatory medicines.
I would recommend you to take tablet cephalexin 500 mg twice daily for 5-7 days.
For pain and swelling take anti inflammatory medicines like tablet serratiopeptidase aceclofenac combination twice daily for 5 days.
These are prescription drugs and should be taken under the supervision of the doctor.
