There can be many causes for cloudy urine/offensive smell of urine.

Most commonly its due to microscopy and culture. High protein content can also cause cloudy urine.

Consult with your physician for a complete physical and proper diagnosis.

Certain dyes, foods, drugs etc all can cause cloudy urine. Antibiotics are the mode of treatment in such causes. Drink plenty of water, Once the infection shows up in the culture, you will need to start antibiotics in accordance with your physician or urologist.
