Question: My wife (75) is experiencing double vision that lasts for 5-10 minutes. She has a blood condition and is being treated for CLL ( Chronic Lymphatic Leukemia) by taking retoxin infusions every 4 weeks at XXXXXXX Medical in Trumbull, CT. What are the causes of double vision?

My dear,
Thanks for sending your query to us.
This basically is incongrous movement of the two eyes.This in her case may be at 3 levels.1) leukemic deposits in the muscle of the eyeball.
2)effects on the nerve supply to the muscle.3) deposits in the brain.
she has to be investigated on these lines to localize the lesion.
Consult your treating doctor immediately so that necessary action can be taken.
