Question : My wife came home with a itchy rash that also gave her chills. it is sporadic, over parts of her chest, 1 arm, leg, foot, and torso. She stated that no new clothing, food medication has been used in the past 48 hours. She hasn't had this before. She took a shower, rash is still there but not as inflamed. Any ideas on what may have caused it?

Hi,

She must have come in contact with something her system is not tolerant to. This is often referred to as acute urticaria. Benadryl would help and there is no need for further medical intervention. She should try identifying all she came in contact with prior to rash breakout to identify the likely culprit and keep away from.
