Question: Hi doc. My wife delivered a baby on 12th XXXXXXX via c-sec and the last period she got was on 26th july. And the expected date for next period was 26th aug. But it's 2 days up and she did not had her period yet. We are sexually active too. I fear if she is pregnant again. But we both don't want another baby. Is it possible to terminate pregnancy through medicines or through medical procedures?

I have gone through your query and understand your health concerns ,
Your wife has delivered a baby just two months ago and she must be lactating her baby also. The chances of her being pregnant are low in first three months after a delivery. The delay in periods can be due to the effect of lactation also. You first need to find out if she is actually pregnant or not with the help of a urine test or a blood test. In case she is pregnant then abortion with the help of medicines is possible but it should be done strictly under the supervision of your gynecologist as it is associated with many complications like heavy bleeding, cramps , vomiting and retained products, etc.
