Brief Answer:
Allergic conjunctivitis is itchy

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I am a practicing ophthalmologist for 8 yrs.
From what you had described and the history mentioned your wife seem to have allergic conjunctivitis.
She better needs anti-allergic medication and not Neosporin ointment.
Ocurest-AH eye drops can help, thrice a day. She needs to wear full covered goggles while she goes out of the home. Besides she can take Tab CETZINE 10mg at night for allergy.
She needs to wash her eyes after coming indoors with cold water to remove the allergens.
Let me know how she does after using this for 5 days.
Thanks.
