Question : My wife is in her 6th week in her post partum. She has fallen ill and suffering from fever with cough and chills. She took dolo 650 but her temperature keeps raising. Can you please suggest good medicines and a good baby formula for my daughter who is 6weeks old.?

Hello,

Regarding cough and chills, she can try ginger tea. If that does not work then she can try doxylamine plus pyridoxine tablet with dinner. It helps with vomiting of pregnancy and also has anti-allergic effect.

Regarding baby formula for 6 week old, I would suggest that breast milk is best. If breast feeding is not possible then cow's milk is good enough.
