                                            Question : My wife recently had a titanium rod put in her femur do to her bone being compromised by a cancerous lesions!!!  Ever since she has experienced unending pain in that leg from her hip to her knee!!  She states it is level 10 plus pain and has been enduring this pain for 4 weeks since her surgery!!  She is on an autoimmune drug called cabometix and I was wondering if her cancer drug can be having an adverse reaction to the titanium and causing this pain!! 
Please help I can’t stand watching my wife suffer!!!
No drugs they have given her have even touched the pain she is enduring!!

If the pain has gotten worse after the operation we need to do proper x-rays find out if the metallic rod has not caused a fracture or the other possibility could be that the cancer needs Radiotherapy which will reduce the pain drastically.
So do get an xray of the affected bone and if it doesn't look like it's further damaged by the titanium nail, then you can contact her Oncology doctor for possibility of Radiotherapy.
