Question : My wife taken phenyl and after that she took shalt water and vomitted. Next morning she is looking fine should we go with some medicine

I understand your concern.

Phenyl is a disinfectant used for killing microorganisms. Naturally drinking phenyl has the possibility of the corrosive effect on our body. The effect varies from nil to risk of getting kidney failure in 48 hours of ingestion....it depends on how much has been consumed. Risk is more if more than 10ml of phenyl has been drunk.

* Looking at the absence of any symptoms till next morning... it is likely that your wife might've drunk less amount and she vomited it out before it could act.

Still, I would advise
- To continue Antacid liquid (Gelusil) for a couple of days. Take a bland diet for three to four days.
- Consultation of a physician & have a thorough physical check-up to exclude in noticed side effect on her health
