Hi XXXXXXX

Ochronosis is of two types-
First in which there is enzyme defect genetically leading to arthritis and pigmentation of skin.

Second type occurs in adults leading due to long term use of hydroquinone containing creams.

Which type do you have?

Ochronotic pigmenatation is very stubborn to treatment.

Response is very slow and there may be less improvement even after treatment.

Natural botanical products like kojic acid, arbutin ,glabridin, soy products, mullberry extract, blueberry extract can be useful.

Glycolic /lactic/salycylic acid products can be useful.

Sun protection is a must with these treatments.

Vitamin C supplements and fruits are beneficial.

Hope this helps.

I will be available for follow up.

Regards.
